Miriam Barbosa brought the GYROTONIC® method to Columbia from New York in 2003 when she became a professor at the University of South Carolina. Upon her return to NYC in 2018 The Movement Studio was created to provide a space for those teachers trained by her. We are a diverse group of individuals who bring our unique life experiences to our work.
We are passionate about the method and committed to maintaining Miriam's warm, caring and generous approach to training.
